The new Taycan has much better range and I think that’s also a factor regarding depreciation on EVs. The newer EVs always have much better range :)

Great video and couldn’t agree more! Bought a used taycan turbo S and it is immense, it feels every bit a £100K+ car, for half that price. Another point with range and efficiency - it costs me £7 to charge my “750bhp” to a range of 200+miles. How far would £7 petrol get you in an equivalent 750bhp ICE car?

How do you warrant the high cost of a service, £800.00. High cost of tyres and wait till you have to tax the car. Do a video next year, and stand by what you are saying.

Does it have the problems of previous generations? These cars break down easly as I heard, I dont want to spend my money on garages every two months.. so is it reliable ?

Friends got one, but spends a lot of time driving different Porsches, (not a bad thing!)while his new one is being repaired and upgraded. Reckons it’s being replaced bit by bit. Warranties are great, until they decide it’s not a warranty item… then you are into a wold of expensive pain.

Personally a taycan dose not meet my use case they do look to be one of the few decent looking evs . I think your being a bit harsh towards the McMaster he has said a lot he loves the car but points out the pit falls of his use case and experience which will differ to your use case. Plus there very expensive even with the suicidal depression ev have not great. The acceleration means nothing to me especially used on the public roads and it just dangerous how fast evs accelerate and I’ve been on seen where that has coursed accidents. I typically buy cars that are 5-8yr old so the warranty is worthless to myself and I typically own for 5-10yr with trade in or sell. Im currently driving 2007 Saab 95. Im currently about to get 2017 L405 having owned a few l322s for the business and haven’t had any real problems, and im in need for a 4x4 and ability to tow and get to rugged locations. I live in a remote area of the uk so i am not going to buy a ev due to many reasons linked to my use case and business, and very possibly ill be forced to close or drematily up my prices of my business in or after 2030, due being in the trades I travel with the van and car a far bit let alone emergency call outs and runs to builder merchants and so on. So a lot of arrogant / snobby people will have a massive shock after 2030, all i can say we who serve don’t like it ever and we have warned but seem to fall on deaf ears. Just don’t get angry with us.. don’t get me Wong if you want a ev and it would work for your use case enjoy, but key fact I don’t like being forced into it especially when it puts my livelihood on the line. Let the free market decide also allows alternatives to appear the sute other use cases / needs. Bar piling into disaster.

throw away car, wont charge up the same. lol i have a 2013 chevy volt. basically the first gen of EV's. made with oversized LG NMC pouch cells, basically big phone batteries in a car. new it was rated in the US for 38 miles range before turning on the gas generator. 13 year old car now, it only gets..... 50 miles of range lol. tires, pressure, minor aero mod on the bottom with aluminum tape, and 70 bucks worth of 200w flexible solar on the roof, and a replacement 4kwh lifepo4 battery i built for 279$usd. if the car is made right and the battery is cooled correctly, and the car is rarely/never super charged, it will last forever. got it with 99k miles on it last year just out of warranty, and put 35k miles on it last year

I have just a two year old petrol 208 a lovely car.Yet the 3 cylinder 1200 cc engine which has wet timing belt needs a regular service as it can be troublesome if not serviced regularly.according online forums their have been call a few call backs a few years ago 🤔 ? yet the car is a stunning looking thing with that French flare .

Couldn't help but notice the indicator lever is on the left of the steering column, similar to a left-hand drive car. Here in Australia, our MX-5s all have it on the right of the steering column....just saying. Enjoyed your video by the way🙂
